CHRISTMAS TREES

We plant Christmas trees in wide range on plantations specially prepared for such purpose. Plantations are spread in foreland of the Beskydy mountains in altitude 250 – 400 m on area approx. 70 ha large.

We put great emphasis on plant quality, which we carefully choose at both: our nurseries and proved suppliers. Our trees are 100 % ecological and are grown with maximum attention and emphasis on quality.

Opinions, that due to a purchase of live Christmas trees we destroy our forests and demage environment, are completely wrong.

Here we present proved knowledge about Christmas trees production:

• Biomass production linked with carbon dioxide bond.
• Fundamental production of vital oxygen.
• Partial compensation and filtration of green house effect gases such as methane, ozone, nitrous oxide and FCKW and thereby partial reduction of harmful substances in biosphere
• Bond of dust particles in volume approx. 300 tons / ha in ten years time of cultivation growth
• Water witholding and reduction of water flow ( evaporation )
• Calming ( balancing ) effect of trees on temperature of upper layers and wind conditions and also support of minor forms of animal and vegetation species.
• Together with ecologically run production of Christmas trees we partially act against global problems of the Earth, because it is necessary to keep in view that:
  • Annually, there is destroyed on the Earth 20 millions ha of forest area
  • Annually, there is released in the atmosphere 1 milliard tons of carbon ( which corresponds with 2.66 milliards tons of carbon dioxide ) while destroying the forest areas
  • Annually, deserts enlarge of about 20 000 ha
  • Annually, 27 000 animal spieces die out due to human activities ( out of estimated 10 – 100 millions ), i.e. 74 spieces daily or 3 every hour
  • According to the latest monitoring of demages on trees in German forests and countryside, there are healthy only 38 % spruces, 29 % pines, 19 % beeches and 23 % oaks
• o In relation to quality of place of growing ( i.e. content of nutrients in soil )10 000 pcs / ha of Blue spruce produce ( in tons / 1 ha / 10 years ) on average following amounts:
  1. dry mass
     above - ground: 40 – 60 tons
     under - ground: 12 – 18 tons
  2. carbon
     above surface: 20 – 30 tons
     under surface: 6 – 9 tons
  3. bond carbon dioxide
     95 – 143 tons
  4. produce oxygen
     70 – 105 tons
